Media and Social Media keep on writing about the brighter side of the CAT-IIMs.  They write about the handful successful candidates selected in IIMs. However, nothing is ever written about the mental health of  remaining huge majority of Students; the much bigger darker side of CAT Coaching.

News papers never write anything against Coaching Institutes as they give huge full page advertisements to the News Papers.

Similarly, they write about the highest packages that the students receive from established IIMs but never write about the lowest packages and about the students who remain unemployed despite going to IIMs and IITs.

The point is that Media and Social Media should also write about the darker side of CAT-IIM and the mushrooming Coachingwalas.

Public in general is surely aware of the 'Commercial Education'  and the mercenary attitude of Parallel  Education System (Coaching Institutes) conducting classes for various competitive exams. But nobody seems to be bothered.

As has been pointed out  earlier, almost half of the students preparing for CAT leave Coaching after attending classes for a few months. Meet the  dropped out students and their parents  and then you will appreciate the issue of mental health.

However in the din of the advertisements  of a few  successful  students of the Coaching Institutes; voice of such dropped out students/parents is not audible.

Arguably, the best solution to curb the menace of the Coaching Institutes is to pressurise governments to have Regulatory Authority to control unfair practices of Coaching Institutes.

Here comes the role of Media and Social Media. Can we, the Social Media, forward these articles to the right persons to improve mental health of young generation?

Can we do something to make the younger generation independent or Self-reliant or आत्म-निर्भर at least in the matter of preparation for CAT?

Can any News Paper start guiding the younger generation on the pitfalls of Coaching Institutes?
